Kickstart your morning with healthy habits for maximum productivity

Posted on 20/04/202320/04/2023 by Claire

We all know that a healthier lifestyle can make us physically and mentally stronger, but what if you could kickstart your day with small healthy habits that help increase productivity?

Starting your morning with activities that benefit health and wellbeing at home can set the tone for an energised day and improved stamina. So today, I want to share some great tips from my experience to help you get the most out of your mornings in a way that will improve your overall physical health and mental wellbeing.

Understanding the Power of a Calming Home Environment

As someone who has always been drawn to creating a space that feels like a sanctuary, I can attest to the power of a calming home environment.

Sitting in my living room, sipping on a cup of tea while practising deep breathing, I couldn’t help but marvel at how serene and peaceful my home felt. It was as if the walls surrounding me were emitting a calming energy that put my mind and mental health at ease.

It’s amazing how our surroundings can impact our mood and overall wellbeing. By investing in creating a calming home environment, I’ve found myself feeling more centred and grounded in all aspects of my life. It’s truly a transformative experience that I encourage everyone to explore.

And the best part? Creating a calming home doesn’t have to be expensive or time-consuming – it’s all about finding the little comforts that bring joy to our hearts and minds and make us feel comfortable.

Introducing the importance of sleep for a maximum productivity

Have you ever had those days when your brain feels like it is moving slower than a snail trying to climb up a mountain? Yeah, me too.

And let me tell you; it’s not a fun feeling. For the longest time, I thought the solution was to drink more coffee and power through it. But, after reading and doing some research, I realised that the simple solution was right in front of me the entire time: sleep.

It sounds obvious, I know. But it wasn’t until I made a conscious effort to prioritise getting enough sleep that I noticed a significant difference in my productivity during the day. My creativity skyrocketed, my memory improved, and my concentration felt sharper. It’s amazing what a good night’s sleep can do for you. Trust me, your brain and productivity are worth investing in good sleep.

So do yourself a favour and make sleep a priority. Trust me; it’s worth it.

Planning an ideal evening routine

As someone who has always struggled with creating a routine, especially when you have two little children and furry babies, I never thought I would be the type of person to have an “ideal” evening routine. The concept of the present moment never really resonated with me due to how chaotic life is.

But I’m here to tell you that it’s possible.

No matter how long or short your evening is, there are small habits you can adopt to make the most out of it and set yourself up for a productive tomorrow. Whether setting aside time to meditate, take a relaxing bath or even read a book, find small things that make you feel refreshed and energised.

Ultimately, I found the perfect routine for a busy mum like me: I start my evening by ensuring all tasks have been completed, spend quality time with the family then make a cup of tea. After that, I do something inspirational or motivational to fuel my mind before bed.

These simple habits help me unwind after a long day and prepare for the next. It’s about finding what works for you and your unique lifestyle. Permit yourself to experiment with different habits until you find the combination that brings you joy and productivity. Practising self care doesn’t have to be difficult. It can be as easy as taking a few minutes to do something you love at the end of your day.

Additional ways to reduce stress in your home

When it comes to reducing stress in your home, it’s easy to feel like you’ve tried all the conventional solutions. But let me tell you about a truly unexpected trick that worked wonders for me.

One day, while mindlessly scrolling through Instagram, I stumbled upon a page dedicated to a type of home décor called feng shui. That day, I learned how to use the power of energy to create balance and harmony in my home.

Feng shui is an ancient Chinese practice where you can adjust your home’s décor to tap into the universal energy flow and create a peaceful environment. Not only is this beautiful and unique, but it also works wonders for calming stress levels and creating a happier atmosphere. Sounds great, right?

By introducing feng shui into my space, I saw an immediate change in the atmosphere of my health and wellbeing at home. Every decision made me feel more grounded and balanced. My family and I let go of our stress, which created a happier environment for us all.

Even subtle changes helped me to reduce stress levels in my home – I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a healthier lifestyle.

Wrap up

So, there you have it. My secret to improving my health and wellbeing at home is easy and should be an everyday practice. Prioritise sleep, and find the perfect evening routine for you. No matter how busy our life gets, don’t forget to practice self care. Finally, introduce feng shui into your home and enjoy the newfound balance and harmony. Contact me for more information!
