Christmas wall decoration ideas for luxury homes

Posted on 17/11/202205/04/2023 by Claire

Are you team early decoration or taking your time on Christmas decoration? If you’re part of the former, you probably have your luxury home Christmas decor all figured out. But for those who like to take their time and enjoy the process, we’ve put together some great ideas to get you started. After all, this is the most wonderful time of the year!

No matter when you start to gear up for the holidays, it is always important to have a plan. This year, think outside the box and go beyond your traditional holiday decorations.

A blank wall is often seen as a wasted opportunity in the design world. It could be that final touch of personality in a room, a chance to show your story and give people insight into who you are and what you value. When it comes to the holidays, adding some holiday cheer to your walls can take your space to the next level this season. We’ll let you in on a secret: Sometimes, all it takes to create a fabulous wall moment is rearranging or adding a few things and repurposing items you already have!

Here are our top ideas for holiday wall decor that will make your home feel warm and inviting this season:

1. Bring the outdoors in with greenery.

One of the simplest ways to spruce up your holiday space is to add some greenery. This can be anything from garlands and wreaths to simple sprigs of evergreens. You can even DIY your holiday wall hanging using fresh greenery, pretty ribbon, and a bit of imagination. If you want to take things a step further, try adding some battery-operated string lights for a bit of extra sparkle.

You can also use artificial greenery if you want something that will last longer. Greenery is a great way to add some life to your holiday decorating and can be used in many different ways. Get creative and have fun with it!

2. Dress up your fireplace.

If you have a fireplace, make it the focal point of your holiday wall decor by dressing it up for the season. This can be as simple as adding some greenery and Garland or hanging a few stockings from the mantel. If you want to get festive, try adding a holiday-themed banner or string lights. You can also use your fireplace to display your favourite holiday decorations. If you got the budget, adding some festive neon light-up signs is a great way to add some holiday cheer.

3. Go for the gold with shimmery accents.

Add shimmer and shine to your luxury home Christmas decor by hanging gold or silver garland, using shimmery ribbon, or adding sparkly string lights. If you want to get festive, try hanging a disco ball from the ceiling! Try adding a glittery accent wall if you want to go all out. This will make a statement and get people talking.

4. Create a photo wall.

This is a great way to display family photos, holiday cards, and your favourite Christmas decorations. You can create a photo or Christmas card wall using clothespins, string, washi tape, or hanging things with push pins. Get creative and have fun with it!

5. Make a statement with wall art.

If you want to make a big impact, go for a statement piece of wall art. This could be anything from a large painting or photo to a tapestry. Make wall art with advent calendar-style pockets to hold small gifts or treats. This is a great way to add intrigue and get people talking!

Making your luxury home christmas decor is a great way to save money and add a personal touch to your home. These ideas are just a starting point – get creative and see what you can come up with! Happy holidays!
